Alana Shaddick
Alana Shaddick graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Laws in 2013 and was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in March 2015. Alana commenced her legal career at a small West Perth law firm in mid-2014 and gained experience in a broad range of practice areas.
Alana joined Bowen Buchbinder Vilensky in early 2018 and her primary focus is now commercial law, property law and wills and estates. She is experienced in preparing simple and complex Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Guardianship and Advance Health Directives. Alana provides advice to clients on asset protection and in relation to Family Provision Act claims. She is also experienced in estate administration and contested estate litigation.
In addition to her estate work, Alana has extensive experience in the preparation of commercial documents and commercial litigation. She has worked on a diverse range of matters, from appearing in the Magistrates Court to attending mediations and instructing Counsel at complex Supreme Court matters. Alana prides herself on her attention to detail, simplifying the legal process for her clients and working hard to achieve good outcomes.
Alana has a very personable approach to her work which sees her acting for families, small business owners, high net worth individuals and ASX listed companies. Alana is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, Women Lawyers of Western Australia and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She also volunteers her time providing pro bono assistance to St John Ambulance, the Salvation Army and Sussex Street Community Law Service.
